Eggcellent, a triple yolker!


Triple yolker! This is a flash back to 4 years ago when we had this giant egg. We wanted to see if it was a double yolker so shone a light on it to get this pic. When we cracked it open it turned out to have 3 yolks! What joy 😍
Eggs are a great source of protein. For a longtime they were demonised for their cholesterol content but we now know that dietary cholesterol has a much smaller impact on a persons blood cholesterol level. Dietary saturated fat has a much greater effect and this is one of the reasons that it is recommended that you limit your intake and instead opt for healthier unsaturated fats, particularly monounsaturated eg olive oil or rapeseed oil (typically the source of vegetable oil in the UK) and omega 3 polyunsaturated fats eg oily fish. 
It is now recommended that eggs are eaten as part of a balanced diet. Yep back to that sexy message ‘everything in moderation’!
