Saturday’s steak night 😍

Steak and herby wedges with steamed carrot batons and greens, and roasted squash (roasted with some fresh sage and halved garlic bulbs) mixed with cream cheese.

Now I have to be honest the squash was just going to be wedges too but I left them in the oven too long and they became a bit dry. As there was plenty in the plate with out this mix the girls didn’t eat much of it.

Anyone got a good recipe for using up roasted squash? I’m thinking maybe a soup to rehydrate..!

To make these yummy wedges I simply washed some new potatoes, chopped them into 6 or 8 depending on their size, parboiled to speed things along and then spread in a baking tray, drizzled over a little rapeseed oil and sprinkled generously with mixed herbs. They were baked in the oven for about 1/2hr turning half way.
