Our first new potatoes of the season 😍

B loved helping harvest – she brought the bucket up, carefully took the potatoes from the veg bed & washed them in the bucket ready to be cooked. B is never more content than when she’s helping.

We only have a few plants as I didn’t actually plant any. These have just grown from what I missed when digging last year! What a bonus.

My dad taught a useful tip when harvesting which is rather than digging the potatoes up with a fork just scratch around with your fingers and you’ll get all you need allowing the rest to stay fresh and to continue growing.
